The current commercial flock of 800 breeding ewes consists of North Country Mules crossed with Suffolk and Texel tups. Alongside the commercial flock, there are 50 Pedigree Suffolk sheep. The flock was established in 1989. Flock number DBO, Medi Visna Accedited National Scrapie Plan member. Rams are sold annually at Abergavenny and Builth Wells at National Sheep Association sales. Suffolk shearling rams and Suffolk ram lambs are for sale ex-farm. Rams used from top breeding flocks including Stockton. All rams have ARR/ARR or ARR/ARQ scrapie genotype. Lower Hope flock won the champion flock in the western area flock competition in 2003 and 2005. Our Shepherd, Chris Rollings, takes great pride in his sheep. |
