About Sidnall Farm

Sidnall Farm is a fruit farm in North Herefordshire, very near the border with Wales. It is part of a larger business with several farms, employing approximately 25 full time staff.

At Sidnall we grow strawberries, raspberries, cherries and apples. The Strawberries, Raspberries, and Cherries are covered to ensure full protection from the rain and birds.

Facilities

Sidnall Farm is located off a quiet country lane. We offer sleeping accommodation in a bunkhouse and large mobile caravans, There is a large purpose built Kitchen / Shower block.

This contains:

  • Large kitchen and cooking facilities
  • Social/TV Room
  • Games room with pool table, Darts and Table Tennis.
  • Laundry and Drying Room
  • Internet Access
  • Bicycles

Transport is provided for shopping trips to a local supermarket.

At Sidnall, activities are often organized for fruit employees such as BBQ, trips to Alton Towers (an English theme park), a trip to the beach/seaside and sports matches against the village football team.
The nearest village is 1/2 mile away and has a pub which has good food.

Employees at Sidnall Farm have use of the village sports field.

The Fruit Season

The fruit season starts in May/June when Strawberries are the first crop to be picked. This is followed by Raspberries being picked throughout July. The Cherries ripen to be picked in mid July to the end of August. Apples finish the fruit season in September. The farm also grows 200 acres of Potatoes which are graded in September and October.
